KSHSAA released its annual "Players to Watch" feature for high school baseball today, and Onaga's Jackson Kolterman was one of 15 players listed for 2-1A.
The junior has been a starter for the Buffaloes since the first game of his freshman season, and during his first two years was named 1st Team All-League twice, Honorable Mention All-State as a freshman, and 2nd Team All-State Shortstop as a sophomore. He's become one of the team's leaders this season, as evidenced by the unanimous vote from his teammates to be one of three team captains in 2024. He's off to a hot start this season, as he leads the state in all classes, 6-1A, in batting average, home runs, slugging percentage, runs scored, on base percentage, and is tied for 5th in stolen bases.
His recognition on this list marks the third year in a row that an Onaga baseball player has been tabbed by KSHSAA as a "Player to Watch," after Zac Fisher made the list each of the last two years.
Congratulations to Jackson, keep up the hard work and great things will continue to follow! GO BUFFALOES!!!
